Actually breaking down the walls of fear

Hi Blog world,

Over the past few weeks, I had to take life as it was, and I had to begin breaking down my walls of fear. The biggest fear that I had has been going to the doctor. I have had this fear since my mom died. I went to the doctor for a rash.  On a side note, I am going to be okay because the doctor gave me some medicine and it’s working. I also came face to face with my issues of not dealing with my stress and anxiety. I have a lot to work on. However, at least I told my nurse practitioner about how I want to learn how to cope better.

Another fear that I faced was crossing busy streets. I am fearful of crossing streets because of my visual impairment. But I know the more I cross the streets the more confident I will feel.

I have been feeling better about sleeping in the dark, too. I was uncomfortable with sleeping without the TV. I like to have background noise. Now I have learned to enjoy the quietness in my room while I drift off to sleep.

I still have a lot of work to do. However, I’m going to get to where I need to be.

Blog  soon,

Amanda Gene
