Personal Development: a pre-employment class

Hi Blog world,

This past week I attended my first pre-employment  class. The reason I am taking this class to help me gain knowledge and skills that I will need to help me be successful with my career.  My first lesson was on learning styles and how these styles can be used in the job setting and during teamwork projects. I learned that I am an auditory, visual and sometimes tactical learner.

The second lesson was on setting goals. To be honest, I think that this is one of my weakness. I really have been struggling with setting goals this past year. However, having this goal setting lesson presented in a different way has made me realize that I can set and achieve goals.  This has also helped me have a clearer picture of what I want my future to look like.

I am looking forward to the other lessons in this class, and the skills and knowledge that I am going to be gaining from it.
