Ah! A snake!

Hi Blog world,

Today was filled with a  lot excitement I didn’t want. This morning, when I was going to take Noodles for a walk I ran into a snake! I was walking outside my front door when I felt something rub against my foot and when I looked down I saw a brown long thing moving back and forth.  I screamed as soon as I knew what it was and took off for the back yard, with Noodles behind me.

As soon as I got inside I told my grandpa about the snake and he said to go around back and go ahead and take the dog.  I was on my way to take Noodles when my grandpa was going to kill the snake, however, the snake must have been as scared as I was because he was no were to be found.  I was nervous all day from that point on because only once years ago did we find another snake in the back yard that was killed right away. I was hoping that he would not come back again, but one of my friends said that he would probably show up again and she was right.

Later, that afternoon, as I was going to take the mail out I opened the door and the snake was looking right up at me. I once again screamed and slammed the door shut.  I went and told my future God mother and grandpa about the snake and of its location.  My God mother, who is a lot braver then I, went out the back to the front to deal with our little friend. At first, she was just going to relocate the snake, however, because of my fear of it showing up again I begged her to kill it.  I helped by rushing to the shed and getting a shovel.  Once I gave the shovel to my future God mother the snake’s life was over and the remains of it was tossed into the woods.  I had way to much excitement for one day.

Later on in the day, I mentioned to my future God mother that I wish I had faced my fears and killed the snake on my own. I need to start learning to stand up to my fears instead of running from them which most of the time I do.  With that being said  here’s my question for my readers and subscribers: What are some of your fears? and how do you conquer them?   Tell me in the comments below, via Twitter, Facebook, or video response. I can’t wait to hear what you guys have to say and I’m ready to have a conversation!

Blog soon,

  1. I can understand being scared of a snake in America, you have a lot of venomous ones. But don’t you have services you can call to remove snakes so you don’t have to do anything?
