National Puppy Day

Today is national puppy day. Duke is a special pet, and he has helped me in so many ways.

He helps me with my anxiety. Duke has anxiety himself and to help him I give him medicine. We also work hard on getting over his own fears. This makes me want to work on my own fears. Slowly, I am becoming less fearful.

Duke also provides guided pressure to help relieve some of my anxiety. Duke isn’t specifically trained in this task, however at nighttime he lays on my legs. This helps me feel safe and helps me feel calmer.

Duke is so loving. I love to go and give Duke a hug. This makes me feel loved and cared for. Sometimes he gives me a sloppy kiss too.
